A collection of the workshops, events, and one of the festival days will be designated for queer Black and Brown youth. We want to highlight Queer BIPOC youth in this community, bring awareness to their specific lived experiences growing up black and brown in Santa Cruz, and normalize their existence in our community. Our QBIPOC youth should not be justifying their existence. Doing this work through the arts provides an opportunity to teach our community members how to support our youth; to remake the social narrative through integrative and ongoing events and gatherings. Our leading goal is to offer safety, accessibility, and love. 

We are inviting you to be leaders in helping us amplify these issues that our community is going through. We cannot create this transformative event without community support. Nothing feels more irresistible than working together with local funders and sponsors realizing a shared vision to create social change. Please join us in creating a proud and safe space where humans are seen as whole with intersectional stories to share. We want to uplift the inherent power of the arts to create more health, respect, equity and visibility of the BIPOC and LGBTQ community. Let’s transform our actions through art practices and community partnership.
